Thank you, thank you and thank you!
DICE, Drug Intervention Community Educators located in the East Providence, RI City Hall - 3rd floor (401-435-7516) is collecting can tabs from September 6- January 31, 2007.
In March of 1997 the East Providence Substance Abuse Prevention Task Force opened its doors to the youth of East Providence. Approximately 13 teens joined, creating a core group of activists.
Currently, DICE's core group consists of about 74 teens aged 12-21 who meet year round on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm at the East Providence City Hall on the 3rd Floor. DICE has either planned, attended, organized, hosted or participated in over 700 events, not only state-wide but even nation-wide.

Thanks for helping us to help the kids.
Shriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield and Boston have been collecting pull-tabs or “pop-tops” from beverage cans since 1989, recycling them, and putting the money toward programs that directly benefit children. Since its inception, about a half-million pounds of aluminum tabs have been collected and recycled.
