14 lbs from Rhythm & Roots 2007!

can tabThank you, thank you, thank you!

We collected 14 pounds of can tabs from enthusiastic festival attendees at this year's Rhythm & Roots Festival (Aug 31 - Sep 2).

From single tabs to bags full of tabs, Rhythm & Roots staff and patrons alike contributed their can tabs thru out the 3 day festival.

The tabs collected will be delivered to the Pyramid Shriners #9 in Milford, CT in late September to be distributed to the Springfield, MA Shriners Hospital.

It's fun, easy and it's never too early to start saving for the kids.

Thanks for helping us to help the kids.

Shriners Hospital for Children logoShriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield and Boston have been collecting pull-tabs or “pop-tops” from beverage cans since 1989, recycling them, and putting the money toward programs that directly benefit children. Since its inception, about a half-million pounds of aluminum tabs have been collected and recycled.

What they're saying ...
"We're a fun band, with a lot of enthusiasm, but we're working on a shoestring budget and we want the world for our web site. Working with Thirsty Lizards made all the difference in the world. We got a custom web site with all the frills you'd expect to get on a site that cost thousands more. This was the best decision we've made yet -- besides getting together and playing great tunes."
