Aug. 29-31, Rhythm & Roots Music Festival, Ninigret Park, Charlestown, R.I. As usual, the thoughtful party-goers at Rhythm & Roots came through. 23 lbs! Amazing considering we made no advanced warning that we would be there collecting. People just know! It's a really great feeling. It's a lesson for all. Keep collecting those can tabs. Even small numbers eventually become big numbers.

July 17-20, 2008, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Oak Hill, NY. The people at Grey Fox never cease to amaze us. 120 lbs! Are you kidding us? This was wonderful. Given that Grey Fox attendees had to prepare for a new home this year, with many unknown factors as they packed to come to the festival, it's so heartening that people remembered the children. And, it was another great festival this year yet again!
